Case Description
Zelma Anderson, 53, was last seen on August 2, 1982, in Orkney, Kentucky. She had been visiting relatives in the area for about two weeks. Zelma's body was found on December 22, 1982, near an abandoned strip mine in Orkney, Kentucky. The remains were confirmed to be Zelma after a forensic anthropologist matched X-rays with dental records; her family also identified her through her clothing and jewelry. Blows to the chest and neck with a blunt instrument caused Zelma's death. The case is unsolved, and the family continues to seek justice and advocate for Zelma's case.
