Case Description
On July 30, 2011, William "Bill" Wood and his wife, Kaidena "Kay" Wood's rural home was destroyed by a fire. Once the fire was extinguished, a badly burned body was discovered. A few weeks later the Iowa Department of Public Safety announced that the body was that of Bill Wood. An autopsy revealed Bill died of multiple gunshot wounds. Kay was nowhere to be found. Due to the circumstances, investigators believe there is foul play involved in her disappearance. Kay, 72, was last seen with her husband, Bill, 79, at an auction house in Stuart, Iowa.
Anyone with information on Kay's disappearance is asked to contact the call the Warren County Dispatch Center at 515-961-1122, or Iowa State Patrol Communications at 515-323-4360.
