Vincent Bloom told police that he was working in his Lower Yoder Township garage on July 19, 2012, when two hooded males entered, tied him up, doused him with gasoline, and set him on fire before fleeing with money. Bloom freed himself and used a garden hose to extinguish the flames. Bloom was transferred to the West Penn Burn Center with burns on 85 percent of his body. He succumbed to his injuries on July 27, 2012.
