Case Description

On April 20, 1981, Vicki Dylewski, 25, left her home to go for a jog around 4 P.M. at the Fernwood State Forest. Vicki never returned home and her parents filed a missing person's report with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. A fire protection plane went out searching and found Vicki's orange toboggan in the Fernwood State Forest. Vicki's body was soon found by searchers in an embankment in the forest. From the autopsy, Vicki had been shot in once in the head at close range. The autopsy also reported that Vicki's body had multiple scrapes that happened after her death. Vicki's family continues to advocate and fight for judicial resolution for her case.
