On June 19, 1981, at 2:55 a.m., Thomas "Billy" Dement, 15, was found in the traveled portion of Southbound Route 4 and Brickhouse Road in Dunkirk, Maryland. The case was initially investigated as a pedestrian traffic accident. Further investigation revealed that Billy’s body had multiple other fatal injuries prior to the vehicle striking him. Thomas' family continues to advocate for their loved one and seek answers in his case.
