Case Description
On September 2nd, 1994, Gail Matthews, 23 and Tamara Berkheiser, 5 were killed in their Williamsport, Pennsylvania home. Gail was stabbed to death and sexually assaulted and left alongside her daughter who was strangled to death and struck in her head. Lycoming County Coroner reported that he could not identify time of death or who was killed first. Mother and daughter were last seen the previous night, September 1st, 1994, by neighbors between 9 and 10 p.m. Law enforcement believes the suspect went through the first-floor kitchen window, which was found damaged, but their case remains unsolved.
