Case Description
On August 3, 2018, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Columbus Division of Police officers responded to a reported shooting at 442 South Yale Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Tabyus Terrell Chappell lying unresponsive outside the front of the residence with a gunshot wound. Columbus Fire Department Medic 10 transported Tabyus to Mount Carmel West Hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, Tabyus succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital personnel at approximately 12:40 a.m. The person responsible for Tabyus’ death has not been identified, and his homicide remains unsolved.
