Case Description
***UPDATE*** Charges have been dropped in this case after a judge ruled that the fingerprint evidence at the scene was not admissible because the crime scene technician who collected it had since died. The AG's office appealed the judge's ruling, but the appeal was denied. The state dropped the charges, not believing they could get a guilty verdict without the evidence. The suspect was set to be released, and the state said that they could recharge if new evidence was obtained.
