Case Description

A suspect has been identified in a 1990 cold case death of Shawna Beth Garber.

It is believed that Talfey Reeves (deceased as of November 15, 2021), picked Shauna up from the Tanglewood/Ginger Blue area of Missouri State Highway 59. Reeves bound her wrists and feet “hog tying” her, and transported her to an abandoned farmhouse where it is believed that he sexually assaulted her and overdosed her with drugs.

My aunt Shauna Beth "Grace Doe" Garbers (Shauna Beth Harvey) remains were found behind an abandoned farmhouse in rural Mcdonald County Missouri Dec 2nd 1990. She remained and cold case and unnamed until March 29th of 2021. In May of 2021 we laid her to rest next to my son, her great nephew. They believe she was killed around Halloween 1990, due to the condition of her remains we have no idea the cause of death. Her and my dad were separated at 6 and 4, their mother was abusive and it led to them being taken by the state of Kansas. My dad got adopted by an amazing family. We have no idea what happened to her after their separation. We have no idea where she went to school, if she graduated, we have no pictures of her, no idea where she lived at the time she was killed. I am reaching out in hopes you can help get her story out there, maybe we can find even a school photo, or someone who knew her in school, any memories of her at all. And maybe even find who did this to her. Or even her real name.
I helped my parents search for her for about 16 years. I had dreams about meeting her and getting to know her, all of those dreams shattered in front of my eyes. Please try and help us find anything. We would appreciate it so much.
