Case Description

On February 24, 1981, railroad workers found the body of Sharon Hurley, 24, in a grassy area below the Poplar Street Bridge in East St. Louis, Illinois. She had been tortured, strangled, and dumped from the bridge. Reports state an anonymous caller told police they witnessed a light blue car stop on the bridge and throw a body over the railing.
