On March 4, 1978, Robert Phillips was killed in an armed robbery at the convenience store he operated in Raleigh, North Carolina on Lake Wheeler Road and Maywood Avenue. Robert, 21, was shot twice. He was found by a customer but died shortly after the ambulance arrived.
