Richard Acevedo III, 21, was shot and killed on Friday, December 19, 2008, at about 4:15 p.m. on Mead Avenue in Ventura, California. Richard was shot outside the residence and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. For nearly 20 years, Richard's family has continued to seek justice for him while advocating for him.
