Case Description
On July 6, 1984, Penny Krajeski, 18, was found murdered inside her apartment at 6700 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago, IL. At the time of her death, Penny was living alone and had only recently been emancipated from her family, marking what should have been the beginning of a new chapter of independence in her life. After Penny was killed, her body remained undiscovered inside the apartment for several days before police eventually found her. Investigators reportedly found no signs of forced entry, suggesting that Penny may have known the person who entered the apartment or that the individual gained access without breaking in. Inside, however, there were signs of a struggle, indicating that a confrontation had taken place before her death. For over 40 years, Penny's family has continued to seek answers and justice, while advocating for her.
