On August 17, 2007, Parris Fleming was gunned down during a drive-by shooting shortly after 1am in the 400 block of West Evergreen Avenue, within the Cabrini-Green housing complex in Chicago, IL. He was standing near a staircase of a building when he was shot in the chest. His family continues to work with law enforcement and advocating for Parris.
