Case Description
Odus Griffith Jr., 23, was fatally shot in Harlan County, Kentucky, in March of 1979. On March 14, gunfire struck a bus carrying non-union miners home from Jericol Mining Inc.’s Glenbrook mine. Odus was killed and two other men were wounded in the shooting. Contemporary reports stated that no arrests had been made in connection with the attack. Odus died on March 15, 1979. Decades later, Odus is remembered by his family as they continue to seek answers about his death.
