On Sunday, July 6, 1997, 14-year-old Nichole Guidry was found murdered inside the cooler of KK’s Corner, a convenience store located at 8197 Tom Hebert Road, just a few miles south of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The bodies of two other victims, an adult man and an adult woman, were also discovered at the scene. The discovery of the three victims launched a devastating homicide investigation and left multiple families grieving lives taken far too soon. Nichole’s death deeply affected those who knew and loved her, leaving behind heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a lasting need for justice. Nichole was only 14 years old when her life was taken. Years later, she deserves to be remembered for more than the tragic circumstances of her death. Her life mattered, her story deserves to be told, and her loved ones continue to deserve answers and justice.
