Case Description

Mario Valentine “Tino” Brooks, 19, was murdered on May 8, 1994, outside a social club located at 101 N. Tatum Street in Tatum, Oklahoma. Tino was with his older brother when a fight broke out. During the altercation, someone fired a gun into the crowd. Four other people were injured, and Tino was shot in the abdomen. Tino was taken to Healdton Hospital, where he later died. Early reports stated investigators had identified three male suspects, but no one was ever charged. Law enforcement has said the investigation was hindered by a lack of witness cooperation.
