Case Description
Marcella Carpenter’s body was recovered from her burned out rural Clintonville home on January 15, 1978 in Wisconsin. A motorist passing by the fire alerted authorities to the scene. Marcella’s body was found in her living room with a stab wound and suffered from smoke inhalation which contributed to the 26 year old’s death. Her family looks to the community and law enforcement to help deliver judicial resolution in this unsolved case. While the case has gone cold for over 45 years detectives are hopeful that this case will be solved by advances in technology.
