Lorna May Bailey was a 67-year-old retired New York school teacher living in St. Petersburg, Florida. Lorna was last seen on February 19, 1981, after visiting a friend at Lake Seminole Hospital, located at 9675 Seminole Boulevard. After she was reported missing, her car was found in the hospital parking lot. The car doors were locked but slightly ajar, her purse was found inside, and her keys were missing. On February 28, Lorna’s body was found floating in the backwaters of Boca Ciega Bay near the Cross Bayou Canal. Her body was recovered and later positively identified. Lorna’s homicide remains unsolved. Her family continues to seek answers and justice, while advocating for her.
