On July 3, 1988, Leslie Beard, 23, was beaten, robbed, and shot on the corner of Lincoln and Spring Street in Aurora, Illinois. Leslie had tried running down the street where he collapsed. His body was found in a backyard in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street. Leslie's family continues to advocate for him and seek justice.
