Case Description
Larry Drayton Sr. was at his home in the 1900 block of Gay Drive in Augusta, Georgia, on August 9, 2024, when he was shot at by an unknown suspect. Reports state the shooter fired at the home four times, with one of the bullets hitting Larry in the back of the head while he was in bed. Larry was transported to Medical College of Georgia, and later transferred to Pruitt Healthcare Nursing facility, and succumbed to his injuries 17 days later on August 26, 2024. Larry Drayton Sr.'s son, Larry Drayton Jr., was shot and killed in 2003. Both cases remain unsolved.
