Case Description
In the early hours of January 4, 1986, a passerby discovered the body of Kathleen “Kathy” Therese Bindel, 23, in Tijeras Canyon, New Mexico, off Highway 285. She had been stripped of her clothing, brutally beaten, and left along the roadside. An investigation determined she died from severe blunt force trauma. Kathy’s life was stolen in an act of unimaginable violence, and nearly four decades later, her case remains unsolved. Her family continues to advocate for her, while seeking justice.
