On October 10, 2016, 33-year-old Justin Blane Sanders was found deceased at Baumhauer Park, located at 1909 Duval Street in Mobile, Alabama. At approximately 7:05 a.m., officers with the Mobile Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive man at the park. Upon arrival, officers discovered Justin near the dugout area of a baseball field. Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The Mobile Police Department classified Justin's death as a homicide. His case remains publicly listed among the department's unsolved homicides from 2016. Investigators continue to seek information that could help identify the person responsible for his death. For a decade, Justin's family has continued to seek justice while advocating for him.
