On August 27th, 1986, 21-year-old Julianne Gottlob was found on her bed strangled to death. She was in her home at 3200 Belle Street in Alton, Illinois. According to the Alton Police Department, there was no sign of forced entry into Julianne’s home, so they suspect she knew her assailant. Julianne’s case remains an unsolved homicide to this day. Her family continues to advocate for her and seek a judicial resolution for Julianne in this almost 40-year-old cold case.
