On August 14, 2019, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle parked along the shoulder of Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley, California, with a man slumped over inside. When deputies arrived, they found John Barreras deceased in the vehicle. John had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. John’s life was taken far too soon, and the person responsible has not been identified. His loved ones continue to deserve answers, accountability, and justice.
