On June 16, 2020, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 5800 block of Ferguson Drive, located between Atlantic Boulevard and Garfield Avenue in East Los Angeles, CA. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 35-year-old Jesus Bustamante seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. He was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Emergency personnel were called to the scene, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remained under investigation. Authorities continued working to determine what led to the incident and to identify the person or persons responsible.
