Case Description
On Friday, August 25, 2023, at approximately 7:08 p.m., officers responded to the area of the 2000 block of Naylor Road near Minnesota Avenue SE in Washington, D.C., after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old JaQiah “Kai” Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. JaQiah’s homicide remains unsolved, and his family continues to seek answers and justice.
