Case Description

On October 14, 1984, 21-year-old Janice Darlene McClendon's body was found dumped in a creek after she was last seen leaving Mike's Dixie Club on Highway 90 in Mobile County. Two bird hunters discovered her body in a creek near Semmes the following Saturday around 9:30 a.m. A forensic pathologist determined that she died from blunt force trauma to the head. Janice’s life was senselessly taken, and the pain of her loss continues to echo through the hearts of those who loved her. Her family seeks accountability and justice.
