Case Description

On September 4, 2017, 14-year-old Jabez Spann disappeared after attending a candlelight vigil near 22nd Street and Palmadelia Avenue in Sarasota, FL. He was reported missing the next day. Investigators believe Jabez may have witnessed a murder. On February 16, 2019, skeletal remains were found along a rural fence line on the side of the road in Palmetto, Manatee County, and identified through dental records as Jabez. The cause of death has not been released, and the case remains unsolved. For over 8 years, Jabez's family has continued to seek justice while advocating for him.
