On May 9, 2015, 28-year-old Ivory “Man” Henry III was shot and killed while working at the Zaxby’s on West Lucas Street in Florence, SC. Ivory was a night manager at another Zaxby’s location, but had volunteered to help cover a shift at the West Lucas Street restaurant that night. According to reports, the last employee left the restaurant around 1:20 a.m., leaving Ivory alone inside. At some point after that, an unidentified suspect or suspects entered the restaurant, robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash, and shot Ivory. The following morning, Ivory was found inside the restaurant with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators later indicated that a red truck or SUV seen on nearby surveillance footage may have been used as the getaway vehicle. More than a decade has passed since his life was taken, but his homicide remains unsolved. His family continues to seek answers and justice in his case.
