Case Description
On November 15, 1945, Guy Caruthers, 49, a victim of an apparent robbery, was shot and killed while working as a taxi driver about 8 miles outside of Jacksonville, FL. He was found lying in the road, with his wallet missing. He had been shot through the chest. Police report that the suspect then drove from the scene in Guy's cab. It was later found parked on a suburban Jacksonville street. There was no evidence of a struggle. For almost 80 years, Guy's family continues to advocate for him, while seeking justice.
