On August 29, 1981, the body of twenty-six-year-old George Fields, known as David to his friends and family, was found lying in the middle of Highway 78 in Norris, Illinois. Reports state that the Canton man was walking South on the East side of the highway around 2:12 am when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The Fulton County Coroner's Jury ruled the death of George Fields as vehicular homicide. The case remains unsolved, and the family continues to seek justice and advocate for his case.
