Geneva Hastings was 18 years old when her body was found shortly before noon on June 27, 1975, after she had been missing for a short time. Geneva, who was from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was discovered in an area approximately six miles north of the city limits on Pine Valley Road. She had been stabbed twice. At the time of her death, Geneva was a new mother to a three-week-old baby. Her murder left her family with unimaginable grief and unanswered questions that have lasted for decades. As Geneva’s case approaches the 50-year mark, her family continues to hope for answers, accountability, and judicial resolution in her unsolved homicide..
