On the evening of June 8, 2001, two men entered a home at 485 Patterson Street in Lake City, FL and shot three people, including 24-year-old Eric Shope. Eric was flown to Shands Jacksonville, where he succumbed to his injuries the following evening. Another victim died at the scene, while the 3rd victim survived. The surviving victim provide a detailed description of the suspects in the incident. Both suspects were black males between the ages of 23-25, approximately 5'7"-5'10"; one of the men had dreadlocks and many gold teeth.
