On June 25, 1972, Edward Veitch Sr., 41, was last seen leaving a lounge on Fifth Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama, at approximately 1:30 a.m. At around 5:00 a.m., a pedestrian walking near the 1400 Block of 11th Avenue North found Edward's body lying on the sidewalk. When law enforcement arrived on scene, they noticed that he had multiple stab injuries to his chest and back, but his shirt had no stab holes. They believe that he was stabbed without a shirt on. All of Edward's belongings were in his possession. Edward Veitch Sr.'s case remains unsolved, and his family continues to advocate and seek justice for his case.
