Case Description
On October 9, 1983, 54-year-old Donna Jean Hills-Haynes disappeared from 103 Wilcox Road in Salkum, Washington. Her disappearance left her family searching for answers and wondering what had happened to her. Nearly 13 years later, in the summer of 1996, Donna’s skeletal remains were discovered in the attic of a residence located at 1040 Gore Road in Salkum. The discovery brought an end to the search for Donna, but it also raised new questions surrounding the circumstances of her death and who was responsible. Since Donna disappeared in 1983, her family has continued to work with law enforcement while advocating for answers and justice. Decades have passed, but they remain committed to keeping Donna’s case and memory from being forgotten. Anyone with information about her disappearance, the circumstances surrounding her death, or how her remains came to be inside the Gore Road residence is encouraged to contact the appropriate investigating agency.
