On June 29th, 2020 Demarkus Lawson, 19 was at a home on 102 White Street in Atmore, Alabama when he sustained a single gun shot wound and then was transferred in a personal vehicle to Atmore Community Hospital. Demarkus was then airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida where he succumbed to his injuries on July 4th, 2020. Demarkus's family continues to seek justice and advocate for his case.
