In the early hours of November 26, 2021, the New Orleans Police Department received a call reporting a body lying in the street in the 6300 block of Florida Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Cody Lagarde, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding Cody's death remain unclear, and the case is currently unsolved. Cody's family continues to advocate for him and seeks judicial resolution in his case.
