Case Description
On May 15, 1982. In an apartment in the Francis Gatehouse Mill complex in Lowell, Brenda LaCombe,19 spent her last hours with her grandmother. They were playing cards and drinking wine and then Brenda left at 12:45 a.m. and was never seen again. On June 4, 1982 a local walking with her daughter in rural Harvard, Mass. made a gruesome discovery near a stone wall. Brenda LaCombe,19 years was found badly beaten and her body decomposing off Interstate 495 in 1982, and no one has been charged with her killing in the 36 years since. The Worcester County District Attorney's unresolved-case squad continues to investigate the Lowell woman's killing, and now Lacombe's family is trying to help by raising money to have her aunt's body exhumed so a new autopsy and DNA testing can be conducted.
