Case Description

On July 8, 1993, 37-year-old Betty Conley was working the overnight shift at the Xtra-Mart convenience store located at the intersection of State Route 67 and Peaceable Road in Charlton, New York. Sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., Betty was shot once in the head with a pistol. At approximately 3:00 a.m., she was found dead inside the store. Investigators later determined that about $100 was missing from the cash register. More than three decades later, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate her murder, but no arrest has been made. Betty’s homicide remains unsolved and her family continues to seek justice.
