Case Description

April Reed, age 20, was reported missing by her family on August 21, 2001, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was last seen around 7:30 p.m., leaving a relative’s home located at 3935 SE 12th Street. Earlier that day, April, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, visited the Hope Crisis Center with a family member to receive her medication. However, she left after learning that no doctor was available to see her. April was reported missing again on September 4, 2001, this time to the Del City Police Department. She may have left the Jesus House Shelter near the 1300 block of Sheridan Avenue in Oklahoma City. At the time of her disappearance, April was wearing blue bell-bottom jeans, a multicolored shirt, and was carrying a black wheeled suitcase with a pull-up handle. Despite ongoing efforts by her family and law enforcement, April Reed has not been seen or heard from since, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unknown. Her loved ones continue to seek answers and advocate for her case.
