On the morning May 31, 2004, Angela Nelson-Carroll’s body was found near the Gene Snyder Freeway, close to Dixie Highway in Louisville, KY by a crew picking up trash along the roadway. She did not have identification with her at the time she was discovered. Authorities later identified her as Angela Nelson-Carroll, a young woman from Louisville. Angela’s death was ruled a homicide. Reports state that she died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation by strangulation. Investigators believe Angela was killed before her body was left near the freeway. Since 2004, Angela's family continues to advocate for her, while seeking justice.
