Twenty-two year old Alexander Martinez was out with a relative getting food on January 9, 2012. While out, they were approached by two robbers. Alexander was shot in the chest. His relative who was with Alexander survived and was able to give a description of the robbers to the police. His family strives for judicial resolution and have kept his memory alive through Operation Save Our City.
