When Rachel Galbreath did not show up for work on May 9, 2014, her coworkers went to her apartment just a short distance away to check on her. Inside they found 33-year-old Rachel deceased on the floor in a pool of blood. The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide after the autopsy revealed multiple injuries to her head and body.

Investigators collected hundreds of pieces of evidence and interviewed friends, coworkers and neighbors in hopes of finding the individual(s) responsible for the beating death of Rachel Galbreath in South Holland, Illinois. Despite everything investigators collected, no arrest has been made.

Rachel’s family has returned to the area around her apartment multiple times since her murder to show her picture and ask if anyone remembers anything suspicious around the time of Rachel’s death. They family has also created a Facebook page dedicated to finding Justice for Rachel Galbreath. Rachel was described by coworkers as a lovely girl that got along with everyone. She had 3 dogs and enjoyed her job at a dog grooming kennel. Those that knew Rachel said that she had recently ended a relationship with a man that shared the apartment with her. He was interviewed and released by police. No suspects have ever been named publicly.
