Case Description

On October 13, 1977, Nora Flie, 27, was found dead under an Alton & Southern Railroad trestle in East St. Louis, Illinois. A student at East St. Louis Community College, Nora was discovered after a passing motorist found her body in the Rush City area. Authorities said she appeared to have died from gunshot wounds and believed she was shot the previous evening. Investigators had not identified a motive or named a suspect. More than five decades later, Nora’s case still deserves attention, accountability, and answers.
