On May 9, 2018, 28-year-old Jonathan Rivera was found shot inside his vehicle at 7519 Westland Oaks Drive, in the Duclay neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to Westland Oaks Drive, just north of Collins Road, around 8:30 p.m. after a report of a person shot. Jonathan died at the scene. Investigators later released an image of a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting and asked the public for information. Jonathan’s homicide remains unsolved and his family continues to advocate for him, while seeking justice.
