On May 1, 1985, George Fawcett Jr., 27, was shot and killed on Beaver Street in New Britain, Connecticut. According to police, George had walked into an alley with three men who reportedly said they wanted to buy drugs. Shortly afterward, gunshots were heard, and the men were seen running from the area. An extensive investigation exhausted all viable leads in the case, and a reward was later authorized for information leading to an arrest and conviction in George’s homicide. For over 40 years, George's family continues to advocate for him while seeking justice.
